NEW: Junior R&D engineer

 

In the context of an EC-funded project, Comsis is looking for a junior R&D engineer. This is a fixed-term 3 years contract.

 

The role is involved in the development of a low-power transceiver for wireless sensor networks. The mission includes the design of a soft Viterbi decoder, a space-time block coding decoder, and other MIMO and beam-forming buidling blocks. The candidate will be responsible for his/her own work, including:

 • The development of bit-accurate C models

 • The migration to an hardware description language

 • The validation of his/her work in simulation and on an hardware platform

 • The corresponding documentation

 

The candidate will integrate a strong R&D team and will benefit from unique research works.

 

The position is located in Paris, France.

 

Requirements

 

 • MSc. Electrical Engineering

 • 0 to 2 years of experience

 • Able to work hard in a small team of highly skilled professionals

 • Fluent in the C language

 • Fluent in an hardware description language (VHDL, Verilog)

 • Must be a European citizen who has not worked in France during the last two years

 • Must be fluent in the English language

 

 

Senior ASIC design leader

 

This engineer leads the ASIC design team throughout the design process. In cooperation with the technical and operations management on one hand, and the core technologies developers on the other hand, he has the responsibility of the full implementation of the ASIC projects. This includes:

 

 • RTL development of complex mixed-mode systems

 • Verification methodology

 • Design for Testability

 • Advanced synthesis flows for state-of-the-art process technologies

 • Timing analysis

 • Power analysis

 • Test patterns generation

 • Supervision of the physical implementation: place & route, DRC, LVS, DFS, packaging

 

Requirements

 

 • MScEE or equivalent

 • Solid understanding of the ASIC design flow

 • Familiarity with at least one major CAD framework (Cadence, Mentor Graphics, Synopsys)

 • Proven experience in the development of a complex mixed-mode silicon design from RTL to GDSII

 • Ability to work independently and take leadership

 • Excellent written and oral communication and interpersonal skills

 • Fluency in the English language

 

Prior knowledge of the Comsis core technologies (wireless communications) is a clear advantage but not a must.

ASIC verification specialist

 

The ASIC verification specialist integrates the ASIC design team. He has the responsibility of setting up the entire verification framework, define the verification scenarios, and unroll them.

 

Requirements

 

 • MScEE or equivalent

 • Solid understanding of the VMM or equivalent methodology

 • Familiarity with at least one major transaction-based verification framework

 • Proven experience in the verification of a complex mixed-mode SoC

 • Proven experience in the verification of complex communication interfaces (Ethernet, Wi-Fi, DSL, ATM, you name it)

 • Excellent written and oral communication and interpersonal skills

 • Fluency in the English language

 

Prior knowledge of the Comsis core technologies (wireless communications) is a clear advantage but not a must.
