May 2019 – The European commission has chosen the ITS-G5 standard as the baseline technology for direct vehicle-to-vehicle and vehicle-to-infrastructure communication, while using LTE and 5G cellular technology for additional communication to remote infrastructure and cloud services.
Comsis has pioneered the ITS-G5/802.11 p V2I/V2V IP development years ago and just signed a strategic partnership with Stations-e, a EV charging stations player. Stations-e has requested a secured multi-protocol management solution (802.11 p, n, ah, ax) for its stations’ strategic use cases in the car industry.
